ACHITECTURE
This is the first house I designed (floor plans) & I built this model. We had a very rigid amount of space and specific limitations as to "parcel" space, etc.
CANDLE HOLDER/VASE
We had to design and make a vase or a candle holder out of plaster. I decided to make one that could serve both purposes.
METAL BOX
We were assigned to design and create a box out of metal. This box was inspired by (American) Chinese take-out boxes (which they don't use here in Holland).
METAL CHAIR (Aluminum)
We had to build a chair out of metal, but we had to build them to these very rigid specifications:
-Must weigh two kilos or less
-Must be strong enough to hold yourself (comfortably).
-The seat had to be at least 40 cm high, the width & depth had to also be at least 40 cm.
-Must have armrests
-Must be made of a sheet of metal-no bars, etc.
"BIKE TO BACK-PACK"
The assignment was to design/create a solution to carrying items to and from school on our bikes (which is what ALL of the students do), giving consideration to the weather, as well as considering different sizes and shapes of the items in which we had to carry. I created a bag with adjustable sizing, as well as clips to make it attachable to a bike.
ART
This assignment was to take/make 4 images that would tell a story. The story had to consist of these 4 parts: "At Home", "On the Road". "Dark Clouds" & "Happy Ending", in that order. My story is called "The Haircut" & I chose to show it in a photo-series. The photos were presented in 4 individual light boxes.
I love to live, learn & travel. My passions are photography, graphic & interior design-hopefully one day I can work doing all of them!
